Hermosillo is a city located in the midst of the Sonoran Desert, it has a mild climate in February, with warm temperatures and scarce rain. It is the capital of the state of Sonora, with a population of about 800,000 with all services, including excellent hotels, restaurants, night clubs and its only an hour away from the sea at Kino Bay and less than two hours from the famous beach resort San Carlos Guaymas.

Trip to Kino Bay Comcáac lagoons
For those who arrive early, a trip to the Kino Bay lagoons is being organized on Sunday 18th at 8AM. The trip is a 1:30 hours drive by small bus (provided) departing from the Araiza Hotel at Hermosillo, and returning at around 5:30 PM, in time for the welcome cocktail. A minimum of 15 people is required for the trip, and has a cost of 90 US dlls.
The trip includes: fruit and seafood cocktails, guided tour of the lagoons by the Seri Indians on plants, herbs and animals, bird watching, kayaking, snorkeling, songs and story telling from the seri culture and boat trips in the bay. There will also be seri arts and crafts for sale.
